The drop

I existed. Why? What am I part of?  I never knew.

I looked around me.

We all existed. Why? What are we part of? We never knew.

Some of us disappeared.

How? Where to? We never knew.

Until the day I met him.

His touch transformed me.

I lost my form. I rose.

I saw all that I could be. The possibilities were endless.

Snow, Ice, mist….

Anything but a drop of stagnant water in an abandoned fountain that I was ,all my life.

I dropped. That was my last memory.

I existed. Why?

I vaguely remembered something about possibilities.

  2. For me, this is a little dark (not a bad thing) that one could read a lot into. Well done!

    • ‘Existential crisis’ is a little dark indeed…..like that outdoor kitchen/fountain in the picture ,that exists for a purpose, but now is not serving its purpose anymore…

Thanks for sharing what this story made you feel..it helps me to see if i got my intent across.

  3. It’s just a drop of water, but it could be most of us humans, too. It’s all a matter of perspective. Stagnant water is also full of life. 🙂
